“ an explosive live sound with electro-fused pop, driving beats, roaring guitars and one killer vocal”
Lead singer Tania Doko was first brought to World's attention as one half of the Australian group, Bachelor Girl during the nineties. Their debut single ‘Buses & Trains'leapt onto the Australian music charts and they soon became one of thecountry's leading recording and live acts. A plethora of ARIA nominations andawards followed. Since that time, Doko has been adding new strings to her musical bow singing and acting in ‘Seriously; thePet Shop Boys Reinterpreted', a Midsumma Festival premiere hit takingher to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The Show enjoyed rave reviews, including praise fromthe Pet Shop Boys themselves. Tania has just completed a national sell out tour with Ian Moss, Jon Stevens and Jack Jones.
Born from a rich pool of experience, She Said Yes quickly evolved its own style and sound. Receiving overseas assistance from leading industry figures such as British producer David Norland (Madonna, Janet Jackson) and Michael Patterson (Duran Duran, Beck) the band headed into the recording studio. Working both in LA and Melbourne, the She Said Yes sound was perfected. In October 2007, the band released their She Said Yes tour edition e.p to coincide with a national tour supporting good friend Darren Hayes on his ‘Time Machine Tour'. With Tania's powerful and distinctive vocal over a hybrid of electro pop/dance/rock sounds the bands live shows earned them a ground swell of loyal fans around the country. She Said Yes has quickly developed phenomenal momentum in the live Melbourne club scene with their infectious DJ / live sets.
National TV performances and special events have included Channel 7's Sunrise, Channel 10's The Big Night In with John Foreman , 2008 OutGames opening at Melbourne Town Hall and a show stopping performance at Raw Hides ‘God Save The Queen'.
